CINNAMON - 

seasoning  fragrant  health  

Medicinal substances:

Cinnamon oil and bark are used as healing agents. Cinnamon is a treasury of numerous health substances, the most valuable of which is cinnamic aldehyde, which gives cinnamon its characteristic smell.

 

Uses of cinnamon:

 

Organism:

  • aqueous cinnamon extracts regulate digestive processes, inhibit excessive fermentation, inhibit the growth of bacteria, fungi and protozoa;

  • helps  in weight loss;

  • warms up;

  • Cinnamon infusion with honey or raspberry juice is a good anti-flu remedy, heals cough and reduces fever;

  • cinnamon relieves fatigue and cheers up;

  • strengthens and stimulates the heart;

  • reduces the spread of cancer cells;

  • it has a diastolic effect, so it is worth drinking an infusion of water and cinnamon during menstruation;

  • supports the removal of toxins from the body.

 

Leather:

  • eliminates acne lesions;

  • smoothes and brightens the complexion;

  • brightens  skin discoloration and acne spots;

  • cleans pores thoroughly  and eat  narrows;

  • eliminates  eczema - removes the secretion of the sebaceous glands; 

  • prevents  scar hypertrophy;

  • has skin tightening properties; 

  • firms (often used in anti-cellulite therapies );

It is not recommended for sensitive, allergic or skin types  capillaries. It is always worth doing the test in an invisible place how our skin reacts to cinnamon.

 

Importantly, the one generally available on the market  cinnamon it  Chinese variety called Cassia (Cinnamomum Cassia)  whereas  original  comes from Ceylon (Cinnamomum Verum  i.e. real cinnamon).  

The difference is significant because  original Ceylon cinnamon is mild, sweet and contains much less coumarin (a substance that can be toxic to the liver and kidneys) than Cassia cinnamon.
