Moringa is an amazing plant that is used to treat many diseases. It has an impressive range of medicinal uses with high nutritional value. Various parts of this plant contain important minerals and are a good source of protein, vitamins, beta-carotene, amino acids, and various phenols ( 1 ).  Its therapeutic use is versatile  ( 2 ) also related  with the nervous system ( 3 ).

 

 

This amazing plant v  leaves contains, compared to others  products with the same weight:

 

  • more protein than soy;

  • more  vitamin C.  than oranges (e.g. 100 g  the powdered leaves contain 200 mg of vitamin C);  

  • more  vitamin A.  than carrots;

  • more magnesium than brown millet;

  • more  calcium  than milk;

  • more  iron  than spinach;

  • more potassium than bananas;  

  • more vitamins B1 and B2 than yeast;

  • more polyphenols than red wine;

  • more folic acid than veal liver;

  • more vitamin E than wheat germ;

  • more fibrous substances than whole grain wheat products;

  • more essential amino acids than organic farmed eggs  ( 4 ).

                                                           

Leaves  moringas include:

Fresh

4 times more  vitamins A than carrots,

7 times more vitamin C than an orange, 

4 times more calcium than milk,

3 times more potassium than bananas,

      3/4       iron  spinach

2 times more protein than yogurt.

Dry

10 times more vitamin A than in carrots,

      1/2         vitamin C oranges,

17 times more  calcium than milk,

15 times more potassium than bananas

25 times more iron than spinach

9 times more protein than yogurt.

To date, scientists have identified the following healing ingredients in moringa:

 

  • 26 anti-inflammatory substances,

  • 46 antioxidants

  • high content of high-quality omega-3 , omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids and medium-chain fatty acids that protect the heart,

  • the highest content of chlorophyll among all plants,

  • important for the functioning of the immune system compounds - zeatin (a substance  enabling  absorption of vitamins and minerals) and salvestrol  (compound responsible for fighting infections),

  • a large amount of isoflavones (greater than in soy and soy products), act as estrogens and help soothe ailments related to menopause  ( 4 ).

moringa to your daily routine  diets:

In Poland, it is difficult to find fresh moringa leaves much easier to buy dried,  powdered or moringa capsules. Dried leaves can be added to dishes  like herbs or brew tea. The powder goes well with, for example, cocktails. The capsules, on the other hand, are swallowed  like pills. If you manage to get fresh leaves, you can make a salad out of them.

 

Moringa oil (also called behena oil) can be used externally for cosmetic purposes, to heal wounds and skin breakdowns or  impose  on the hair. It prevents hair loss by strengthening the roots. It helps in the fight against dandruff . It is best to apply oil to your hair, wrap it with a towel and wash it after 30 minutes.  

 

Studies on rats and mice ( 5 ) have shown that moringa seed oil has liver regenerative properties and can be used in therapeutic treatments.  

It tastes great in salads. Always choose the cold pressed one.   

 

 

HOW TO USE?

Moringa treatment according to Dr. Gunter Harnisch  for people with a deficiency of vitamins and minerals, it lasts six weeks.

 

  • During the first three days , take 1 teaspoon of powdered moringa in the morning and evening . It's best to mix it with yoghurt or  cottage cheese.   The quantity given is approximately 8 mg.

 

  • After three days , increase the dose of moringa by taking two heaped tablespoons of the powder twice , which is approximately 15 g.  

 

  • After six weeks, it is enough to take 1 teaspoonful of moringa in the morning and evening for prophylactic purposes. Thanks to this, you will maintain the effect of the treatment.
