Christmas potpourri. Top view. Hot scent

Sweat-  pourri  ( pronunciation:  popuri)  this  with  language  French  disorderly  blend.   IN  this  case  this

a mixture of various spices, fruits and twigs, the aromas of which we associate  with holidays.  This aromatic bigos  its purpose is to decorate the room and give it a nice fragrance.

We can make pot-pourri dried (from dried flowers, bark, spices, herbs).

Dried flowers and fragments of plants, characterized by an attractive scent, can be placed in bags and stored in the wardrobe for clothes.  gone aroma. However, I am afraid that drought alone is not enough to do so  the smell lingered. In commercial  pouches  for wardrobes  the elements of the dried fruit are probably getting wet   in fragrances (rather, they are not expensive natural oils  ethereal), thanks to which the aroma lasts longer. The same applies to decorative dried material for bowls they decorate  our homes.

Pot-pourri can also be made "wet" which makes it smell  it lasts longer. We select the ingredients according to our own tastes and preferences. If the festive version is known, we can choose from: spices, citrus and other fruits, aromatic pine shoots. Put the selected ingredients into a pot, pour water over it and cook over low heat for about 4-5 hours (depending on the selected ingredients), extracting their aromas. Let the prepared mixture stand for about 12 hours so that all the ingredients "give up" their aromas. After straining, pour it into glass jars, open it when you want to "release the fragrance". We can use them in popular tea lights.
