Ants  at home.

April 25, 2017

According to a Stanford University study ( 1 ), ants enter our homes and apartments due to weather conditions. That is why they most often visit our homes  in the beginning of spring.

Pest control products are available in stores  dangerous to our health. The National Library of Medicine toxicology data network reports that contact with cypermethrin  (a component of many insect and worm preparations) i  one of the two active ingredients of the preparation  Raid Ant i  Roach Spray - May cause shortness of breath, coughing, and congestion. It can also aggravate and cause asthma attacks  wheezing.  It is worth remembering that  the primary ingredient in most commercial insecticides is  destructive substance  the nervous system of insects through direct contact with the preparation. These toxic chemicals can have the same effect on  people if enough of the preparation has penetrated  into our body.

What we offer below is a safe and effective replacement for toxic, commercial preparations. Essential oils are a very effective way to fight worms or treat various health ailments. Importantly, you can spray it in the kitchen or bathroom, wherever ants have moved in.  Ants do not like strong smells, so labeling their favorite places with an intense oil effectively scares them off. You can spray the places where ants appear, or you can soak a cotton ball and put it in a cupboard or other place  they like it.

WHY DOES IT WORK?

Have you noticed that ants are moving "goose"? It's because  when an ant is released to scout an anthill, it finds food, that is, all the way from food to the nest, with pheromones.   Thanks to this scent trail, other ants know where  have to go and which way  go back to the nest. Some essential oils interfere with these traces so ants get lost without scent navigation and thus lead out  out of our house.
