Air fresheners usually contain phthalates, potentially dangerous chemicals. The National Resources Defense Council tested 14 air fresheners  air, including those labeled "all natural". The test results showed that  12 of the 14 tested air fresheners contained  phthalates ( 1 ).

Scented candles: a study of scented candles has shown that frequently burning paraffin candles in poorly ventilated areas can be dangerous because they emit toluene and benzene when burned -  carcinogens.

Scented sticks:  are usually made of dipropylene glycol (a component also used in antifreeze, which is dangerous for cats and dogs) or ethanol, and  It is also dangerous for young children if the child drinks the liquid or gets into it  eyes.

If you want your house to be full of pretty,  warm and inviting aroma, and healthy household members, replace chemical  air fresheners  air to natural.

Coffee beans : buy a few coffee beans and grind them yourself. Coffee will not only taste better, it will fill your home  fantastic aroma.

Fruit helpful in  cleaning : did you know you can clean your home with lemon juice? You can use it to clean the shower, remove it with a cloth  soap scum.  And after mixing lemon juice with soda - to clean the toilet. Your home will be clean and lemon-scented!

Bake it  something : The smell of baked cake or cookies will fill your home, plus you'll have delicious homemade treats to eat!

Boil cinnamon water : This strange but effective technique works and  does not contain any dangerous additives. It's cheap and doesn't require going out and buying anything as long as you have cinnamon. Fill a saucepan with water and put the cinnamon in the water. Bring to a boil. Let it boil for a few minutes until the smell is dissipated throughout the house.

Spray air freshener: you need  lemon juice, water, and baking soda (such  for baking). These ingredients neutralize odors.  Such a freshener is inexpensive and completely natural.

Flowers: Buy a bouquet of flowers and leave them on your counter, dining table, or table. Flowers will not only be  looked nice but also make any room smell nice.

make  Dry Sachets : Take a few small cotton bags and fill them with your favorite dried herbs, flowers and spices. Place them in drawers and wardrobes to make your clothes smell nice.

Homemade soy candles. The recipe will come out soon  on page.

Fragrance Sticks : Take a small bottle or glass with a tall neck. The narrower the mouth, the slower the solution evaporates, the wider the faster.  Prepare the solution, you can do it in two ways, using oil or water with vodka.

  • For the bottle / glass  pour in  carrier oil e.g. almond oil / safflower oil and add  a few drops of your favorite essential oil   (be careful that the undiluted oil does not  touched the skin) -   in proportions it is about 70%  base oil with 30% essential oil, but you can experiment with amounts to adjust the intensity of the fragrance to your needs.  Then put wooden cane or bamboo sticks into the bottle / glass (you can also use long skewer sticks or art sticks - only cut off the pointed ends). When they are soaked, remove them and place the opposite ends. Rotate once a week.  Make sure yours  there is an air freshener  out of the reach of small children and pets.

  • You can also make the base for scented sticks using vodka and water .  Up to 1/4 cup of water  give  about 12 drops of essential oil  ethereal, then add a little more  vodka (vodka helps bind oils with water).  Some people say that this mixture evaporates faster than the oil-based mix, but it won't mess up as much as the oil version if it spills out. Decide for yourself which one you prefer.
