Energy bar with chia seeds

The recently very popular "power bars" can be bought ready-made or made at home. Are  healthy and, what is important, you can compose their taste and composition by adding your favorite seeds,  nuts and  dried fruits. 

ENERGY BAR

WITH CHIA SEEDS

 

 

INGREDIENTS:

 

  • 6 large dates,

  • ½ cup of chia seeds

  • 2 tablespoons of coconut oil.

 

ADDITIONALLY:

 

  • ½ teaspoon of natural vanilla extract,

  • a pinch of cinnamon,

  • a few favorite dried fruits (raisins, cranberries, goji berries),

  • andruty thin wafers.

 

 

A METHOD OF PREPARING:

 

  1. Soak the dates for 30 minutes in warm water.

  2. After this time, remove the seeds from the dates.

  3. Put the dates into a blender and keep blending until you get a consistency  pastes.

  4. In a small bowl, combine the date paste with chia seeds and coconut oil. A thick dough will be formed from it.

  5. Make a few balls of the dough - any size or spread the dough in a glass or silicone mold lined with baking paper or a petal  wand type.  

  6. Cut into strips / squares.

  7. You can eat it right away or put it in the fridge / freezer for a more plump structure  bar.
