Conventional body lotions can contain loads of harmful chemicals and synthetic fragrances. Instead, try this homemade body butter! It's easy to make, cost-effective and perfect for your skin!  

Shea butter  thanks to the richness of saturated and unsaturated acids and vitamins A and E, it perfectly nourishes and regenerates the skin, ensuring its silky smoothness and elasticity. It soothes irritations, delays the aging process of the skin and protects against free radicals and harmful external factors.

Jojoba oil  rich  it is, inter alia, in vitamin E,  A and F.  Vitamin E  protects the skin against loss of fibers  collagen  and  elastin, thanks to which it remains firm and elastic for longer.  Whereas vitamin A  tighten the skin and smooth wrinkles.  WITH  turn a vitamin  F -  otherwise EFAs, i.e. Essential Fatty Acids: linoleic, arachidonic and linolenic acids  - rebuilds  the lipid layer of the epidermis and supports  its regeneration.

Coconut oil, thanks to its content   acids  fatty,  they deeply penetrate and nourish the skin, making it an excellent moisturizing and smoothing cream. Therefore, it is great for dry and dehydrated skin.

INGREDIENTS:

 

  • 1/2 cup shea butter (you can buy HERE or  HERE ) ;

  • 1/8 cup (about 30 ml) of jojoba oil (you can buy it HERE );

  • 1/2 cup of coconut oil;

  • 20 drops of essential oil (to your liking);

  • A glass jar.

 

PROCEDURE:

 

  1. Put the shea butter, coconut oil, and jojoba oil in a glass bowl, then place this bowl in a pan or pot that is half full of water (too much water can pour into the bowl, which we don't want).

  2. Gently heat on the stove so that the water is warm, but not boiling. And mix all ingredients in a bowl. The fats are supposed to stick together.

  3. When all the ingredients are combined - a homogeneous liquid mass will be formed - put the mixture in the fridge for  approx. 1 hour or until the mass hardens (changes from a liquid to a solid).

  4. Remove from the refrigerator and beat with a mixer until the mass becomes fluffy.

  5. Finally, add the essential oils  to your liking and mix everything.

  6. Transfer the mixture to a glass jar and store at room temperature.
